Welcome to the Northwest Fuchsia Gardens database! This is a demonstration of how a database can make information more powerful through structuring and sharing.
This database records public garden collections of the genus Fuchsia in Washington and Oregon. The focus is mainly on plants that are planted in the ground permanently, to evaluate hardiness, but plants which are removed and protected for winter will be included with a note to that effect (where possible).
How to use it
The core function of this database is to present which gardens grow which cultivars. Each garden page has clickable lists of cultivars. Clicking on a cultivar name will take you to the page for that cultivar, which lists gardens that grow it or grew it.
